![]() ![]() I sometimes complain about journalists and the quality of their writing. As a business this is pretty much the biggest challenge these days no matter what you are selling. Statistics show, that the lower you price something the more angry users will become, cause they didn't invest in that experience. Turns out to be a bad movie, but he shrugs his shoulders. Then your users have a semi bad experienced or at the very least wasn't dazzled by your game, and funny enough they will get disportunately upset, maybe even lash out using threats.Ī few hours later the same user will pay 20 USD to go to the movies. ![]() Imagine that you made a game for iOS and you release it for free cause you have too these days, or maybe 1,- USD. ![]() Dealing with those upgrade discount requests can't be easy. And your marketing has gotten much better in the past couple of years. But generally Clickteam seem to be doing well and that's great to see. Here's the link if you didn't see it already: Is this perhaps something that the Clickstore will fulfill? (oh hey, a question) It would certainly help the new users a lot. I suppose an ideal situation would be to have a more organised CT site with user submissions (screened) and all examples, tutorials and articles in one place. I run a Twitter feed called as a way of aggregating the news I see around the scattered community in one place. The forums are good for advice but it's hard to find news or know what is the latest information. For whatever reason, the klik news sites (Cafe, Total Klik, etc) fell away over the years and there's really nothing but the CT forums these days. But first - thanks for the many years of enjoyment you've provided through K&P and its successors.Īs a long-time user, I'd like to see a little more focus on creating a centralized hub for all of the articles, tutorials, games and (most importantly) users that are currently scattered around the internet. It is not a separated thread that manage data. For example, Autoload (Fake singleton) where you want to manage data in real time. However If you try that in Godot, you cannot multi-threading where you want to implement asynchronous system. You may mention about multi-threading because asynchronous programming is one way of multi-threading. Which is very efficient for performance of your game. If i give you very simple example for why GDScript is immature, GDScript does not support asynchronous programming. Because C# is popular in other game engine and it contains all the new features that is available from new programming language. You can just feel that by the godot team is solving that matter by supporting mono version. It does have some good features but it is not good enough for what you need if you want to deep dive into game development. Which means it cannot have all the power and new features that is available in Python or other programming language. GDScript is quite immature language GDScript is copy of python and the real problem is, it is not python. ![]()
